Phylogenetic revision of Echinolaophonte Nicholls (Copepoda, Harpacticoida, Laophontidae T. Scott) including the establishment of two new genera and two new species

چکیده

The record of a new species Echinolaophonte Nicholls, 1941 (Copepoda, Harpacticoida, Laophontidae) from Jeju Island (Korea) formed the basis for detailed and exhaustive phylogenetic revision genus. Comparison all 15 currently assigned to (including Korean species) revealed that its current composition cannot be maintained. relationships within were elucidated through analysis 135 morphological characters inclusion four outgroups. As result, removed placed in two genera: Parechinolaophonte gen. nov. E. tropica Ummerkutty, 1970 Pseudechinolaophonte minuta Cottarelli & Forniz, 1991, mordoganensis Kuru, Sönmez Karaytug, 2019 veniliae Cottarelli, Forniz Bascherini, 1992. longantennata Apostolov, 1990 had excluded analysis, due fragmentary imprecise description. Accordingly, ten remaining are clarified. is described as musa sp. Furthermore, subspecies armiger f. briani Lang, 1965 elevated rank 1965. A discussion provided key given.
